İngiltere’nin Daily Mirror gazetesi, Terim’in sezon sonunda mavi-beyazlı takımın teknik direktörü Avram Grant’in yerine geçeceğini iddia etti. Gazete, Fatih Terim’in adını ilk sıraya koyarken, Chelsea’nin Rus patronu Roman Abramovich’in listesindeki diğer iki ismin Barcelona Teknik Direktörü Frank Rijkaard ve Getafe ile başarılı bir sezon geçiren Danimarkalı Michael Laudrup olduğunu vurguladı. Gazete, 4-4 biten Tottenham maçında büyük taktik hatalar yapan Avram Grant’in gitmesinin artık kesin olduğunu yazdı.

Kendisi de İngiltere’de takım çalıştırmaya çok sıcak bakıyor. Bu konuda gelişmeler var" dedi.

Roman Abramovich is drawing up a secret hit-list of potential managers which will pile the pressure on Avram Grant.
Turkey boss Fatih Terim, one of the most highly-rated managers in Europe, has been sounded out by agents claiming to be working for Chelsea.
Terim, 54, is believed to be one of the targets along with Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard and Getafe coach Michael Laudrup if underpressure Grant loses his job this summer.
Turkey coach Terim, who led Galatasaray to the UEFA Cup and also managed AC Milan and Fiorentina, is set to quit his current job after Euro 2008 finals and has already been singled out by Arsene Wenger as the best coach in Europe.

Terim's advisor Mel Goldberg said: "There has been interest from at least four Premier League clubs and of course he would be interested in a job in England."
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has insisted that they remain behind Grant - but the Israeli is under mounting pressure at Stamford Bridge

Turkish coach could move to Premier League
Turkish coach Fatih Terim has offers from a number of Premier League clubs, his British agent has claimed.
Terim is rated very highly in Europe having guided Galatasaray to Uefa Cup success in 2000.
He went on to manage both Fiorentina and Milan before returning to Gala, who he left again in 2005 to take up his current role as coach of the national side.
Terim has guided Turkey to Euro 2008 - their first major tournament since the 2002 World Cup.
But Terim is now attracting attention from a number of clubs sides and Chelsea are the latest side said to be interested.

Terim's agent Mel Goldberg confirmed there was a lot of interest from England.
"There has been interest from at least four Premier League clubs and of course he would be interested in a job in England," Goldberg told the Daily Mirror.
