Villarreal CF and Besiktas reach agreement over Nihat move

The Turkish striker will start next season at the club where he began his footballing career.

Villarreal, Besiktas and Nihat Kahveci have reached an agreement that means the Turkish international striker will start next season’s campaign with the Istanbul club. It also marks a return to the club where the Istanbul born forward played for five years after coming through the club’s youth ranks.

During his time in a Villarreal shirt over a period of three seasons, Nihat played 62 games in La Liga, four in the Copa del Rey, four in the Intertoto, six in the UEFA Cup and four matches in the Champions’ League.

The club would like to thank the player for his hard work, dedication and commitment in the Yellows’ colours and wishes him every success for this latest step in his footballing career.
