Kısacası Tarihi ;

Gönenspor, Balıkesir ilinin Gönen ilçesinde 01.01.1973 yılında kurulmuş bir kulüptür.

Gönenspor'un futbol takımı uzun süre o zaman Türk futbol sisteminin 3. seviyesi olan 3. Lig'de mücadele etmiştir.

Ayrıca birkaç sezon o zamanki adıyla Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi 'nde de mücadele etmişlerdir. Kulübün futbol takımı şu anda Bölgesel Amatör Ligi'nde mücadele etmektedir.

Eski Beşiktaşlı futbolcu İbrahim Üzülmez futbola Gönenspor'da başlamıştır.

-İlk Sezon'u şampiyon olarak tamamladık.-
