FM13 Return of the King
Right hello all, first of all i'd like to say normally i don't bother with trying to create my own tactics because tbh i am generally useless at them!
But this time i thought i would try and make a solid 4-4-2 tactic that resemble the good old days of Man Utd's 4-4-2 1995-1996 season, when King Eric (Cantona) returned form the infamous kung-fu kick at Crystal Palace. Utd went on to win doubles & trebles with this and i did love watching my beloved utd when they were playing with this team.
So i have put the link below if people fancy trying it and giving me some feed back and also i have listed each position with my current player in my southampton game that i am using and also Man utd's player at that time and also for younger viewers who may not know that era much i have listed current players in the Prem who would play superb in each position to give everyone a idea of the players required.
I have used this tactic for around 16 games now and won 13 scoring 32 goals and only conceding 4, drawn 2 & lost at chelsea!
GK - peter schmeichel / Jack Butland / Petr Cech - Big commanding goalkeeper required
DR/DL - Gary Neville & Denis Iriwn / Nathaniel Clyne & Ruben / ivanovic & baines - good solid fullbacks with good positioning, tackiling (not Rafael type fullbacks)
DC's - Pallister & Bruce / Okore & Savic / John Terry & Rio Ferdinand - 1 powerful CB RHS & 1 Ball playing CB LHS
MCR - Scholes / Schniederlin / Lampard - box to box mc who gets into the box and gets a few goals
MCL - Roy Keane / Simao mate / Alex song - tough tackling cm with good passing and work rate essential
MR - Beckham / Gastom Ramirez / Hazard - A hard working right mid with good crossing doesn't need to be like lightening but needs to be creative
ML - Giggs / Thomas Ince / Bale - Quick, skillfull winger works here with pace, dribbling, crossing a must
STR - Cantona / Cardozo / Van Persie - techincally sound striker who will create things all day long and weigh in with his fair share of goals
STL - Andy Cole / Regen / Michael Owen - Poacher with fantastic finishing, composure, off the ball etc
Hope that gives you an idea of what is needed and any feedback would be appreciated
