LONDON (Reuters) - Dutch international defender Khalid Boulahrouz has completed his move from Chelsea to VfB Stuttgart, the English Premier League club confirmed on their website (
www.chelseafc.com) on Monday.
The 26-year-old Dutchman suffered a personal tragedy during Euro 2008 last month when his wife gave birth prematurely to a daughter who later died.
He previously played in the Bundesliga for Hamburg SV between 2004 and 2006 and made only 13 appearances for Chelsea before a spell on loan at Sevilla last season.
Boulahrouz is likely to replace Portugal’s Fernando Meira, who is set to leave Stuttgart and join Turkish champions Galatasaray
