Fenerbache
Volkan — 7: The goalkeeper was more or less powerless against both of Sevilla's goals and saved everything that came his way.
Gokhan — 7: A for effort, the right back certainly put himself about from the first minute until the last, but his execution, both going forward and defensively, left a little to be desired.
Edu — 6: Scored an own goal, which certainly was a forgettable moment even if it was not entirely his fault, as Alves' cross was sensational and needed to be blocked. He was otherwise mostly solid.
Lugano — 7: Scored a wonderful header to put Fenerbache 2-1 up and did well to deal with Luis Fabiano.
Roberto Carlos — 8: The Brasilian left back rolled back the years with a faultless performance. He marshalled the ever-dangerous Jesus Navas throughout the gane and made it impossible for him to get any joy down the right hand side, and pushed forward well to support Alex and Boral as well. A candidate for Man of the Match, unfortunately went off injured when he received a cut to his leg when attempting to stop Escude's equaliser — great performance.
Selcuk — 6: Was anonymous for the first half and became a little more involved in the second as he was afforded a little more space.
Aurelio — 7: Definitely put himself about in a fantastic performance in the middle of the park and got forward well at times as well.
Boral — 7: Did extremely well up and down the left hand side, putting in plenty of good crosses and getting into a few dangerous positions himself.
Deivid — 5: Was shut down by Poulsen and Adriano and was barely involved in the game.
Alex — 7: Didn't quite light up the stage as he is known to do, but his touch of class proved decisive in the end, as he first fought for the ball, then fed in Senturk to score the winner; a good performance pulling the strings from the maestro.
Kezman — 7: Was largely uninvolved from the start, isolated up front as the lone striker. At times left a little to be desired when he was on the ball, but he took his goal well and little more could be asked of him.
Substitutes: Vederson — 6, Richards — 6, Senturk — 7.
Sevilla
Palop — 7: Made a wonderful save and was, like his opposite number, powerless to stop the efforts that did beat him, a solid performance.
Alves — 7: Up and down the right hand side as emphatically as ever, involved in almost everything; his cross created the own goal which got Sevilla level for the first time, could have maybe scored higher without his play-acting.
Escude — 5: Scored the equaliser but still, quite frankly, was woeful. All at sea at the back, got away with murder after a handball in the box in the first half. He was in the right place at the right time to tap in his goal, but it was a performance to forget.
Dragutonovic — 5: Another poor performance in defence as the big Serbian was quite clumsy at times, and gave Senturk too much space in the dying minutes to score the winner.
Navas — 6: Kept quiet by Roberto Carlos, given no space to run into whatsoever. Once the Brasilian went off, Navas got a little more involved, but still failed to impact on the game as he would have liked.
Poulsen — 8: Perhaps the Man of the Match in the middle of the park — absolutely nothing got through him. All of Fenerbache's attacks had to go around the Danish international, and his flick-on was crucial in creating the tap-in for Escude to equalise at 2-2.
Keita — 7: Put in a physical performance in midfield and definitely kept Fenerbache on their toes, but failed to impose himself going forward.
Duda — 7: Did well down the left hand side starting ahead of Capel, largely justifying his place. He was tricky, perhaps lacking the explosive pace, but kept Gokhan very busy and did good defensive work doubling up with Adriano.
Kanoute — 6: Contributed well to the build-up play but did not really get any chances going forward, he was largely closed down and the opportunities were made difficult for him, perhaps a little unfortunate, as he put in some good work.
Fabiano — 5: Again quite isolated up front but most definitely failed to make the most of what did come his way, slightly erratic and lacking composure in front of goal.
Substitutes: Capel — 7.
