Kone: Staying at PSV

PSV ace snubs Galatasaray

PSV Eindhoven striker Arouna Kone has turned down an approach from Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Thee Istanbul-based club were reportedly prepared to pay 20million euros for the Ivory Coast star - a sum which would have triggered a release clause in his contract.
However, the 23-year-old revealed he had no desire to move to Turkey.
"I do not choose for the money," Kone told the Brabants Dagblad newspaper.
"When I leave PSV, it will be for a spell at a top club."
The striker had already snubbed an offer from Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk prior to Galatasaray's approach.
Kone also revealed that his recent bout of malaria, contracted while on holiday in his homeland, had hit him very hard.
"I was fatigued for some days already and had an enormous headache, even while talking," he said.
"In the hospital it became clear that I was struck by malaria. The infection was too serious to recover at home.
